I was ill and Parkinson didn't poison me. I don't know if I should be worried or find that as interesting a development as I currently do. I am certain that she could have found a way to do it that didn't point back to her. Huh.. It seems that I have missed an endless amount of activity in my illness. Couldn't be happier about that one. Who would have thought that feeling achey would have it's merits other than a
I would like to, once again, extend my apologies to any other stag parties that I have missed. Not that I would have been able to attend, legally; however, I feel as if that I would be remiss in the manners that my mother attempted to teach me if I didn't at least try.
I would also like to give my most sincere apologies to Natalie Miss McDonald Mrs. Pucey Are you lot bloody and everlasting mad? Where was the bloody calvary when that mistake was happening? The entire bloody world is going to bloody hell in a handbasket. I hope you all choke on your dinners. Or better yet, I do and I will no longer have to deal with this nightmare of extereme imbecility. And yes, you morons, that is a word those whose blessed nuptials I have had the pleasure misfortune of missing. I am so bloody sorry.
It seems that once again, I have found myself with a faulty quill. | | Sunday, April 12th, 2009 | | 12:37 am |
I highly doubt that the amount of people eating cake and sweets correlates positively with the amount of people who do any amount of physical labour. I wonder if corpulence will soon be a requirement of our dearest society
Future Mrs Abercrombie Ms. Parkinson, since we have the habit of missing each other, I decided to make use of this stupid journal in hopes that you waste your time on them as often as I think you would that you read yours.
1. I am apparently in need of new quills. 2. When is your aunt coming? 3. Is the piano in tune? If not, would I ... be allowed to tune it? If so, could I play it? When I wanted. 4. Give me something to do you bloody infernal woman I've decided to take upon organizing certain parts of our home. Just thought that I should inform you, in order to avoid any unpleasent surprises. | | Sunday, March 29th, 2009 | | 1:50 am |
I would like to formally extend my apologies to Mister Nott for being unable to attend his stag party, seeing as I am not the legal age to enjoy such ... things. | | Wednesday, March 25th, 2009 | | 6:54 pm |
traced and retraced Life
Reductionist vs. Life style. [Possibility that Adler, from what I recall reading, needed better characterization categories … Specificity. Practical, unlike Jung, but why only ‘striving for perfection’. Not empirical --/---> Unlike Freud he didn’t seek to place theory into a scientific mold; however, how does one measure striving? {Many different words, wrong definition? It took him years to find the right words, perhaps striving wasn’t it. Simply closer} Empirical --->] Freud attempted to review life in a physiological level. Drives. Reduced to smaller compartments: Id, Ego, Superego = Freud. Goals, aspirations: Life style = Adler.
There is a difference Is there a difference. There is. How great? The differences between Adler’s ‘basic motivations ‘ and Freud’s drives are-
The lack of privacy of these things cause them to be absolutely pointless. A journal should be for private thoughts and notes. While, the charms behind this would be fascinating to learn and recreate; the fact of the matter is that these are simply a monitoring tool. One that can easily be avoided by not writing in them. I have no thoughts that I want to share with the masses. I doubt half of them could rightfully appreciate what I want to say anyway and those that can no longer have the freedom to do so. Would Adler appreciate the irony? The words ‘social interest’ always seemed damning to the theory, in my opinion. Social interest, by his definition, was learned and a genuine "concern for others". Yet, people of this time seem to have taken a naturalistic viewpoint. Social interest to protect the blood. Highly unethical.
The only reason I’m using this stupid thing is because someone moved my notebook. I’d like it back, now. Please | | Tuesday, March 24th, 2009 | | 7:21 am |
